SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Recor Medical, Inc. (“Recor”) has created social media channels to foster a community of people living with hypertension, create helpful educational content, share resources, hear stories about other people living with hypertension, and have respectful discussions.


We look forward to open communication with you and we welcome your engagement. However, we will periodically review comments to comply with the legal and regulatory requirements of our industry and to foster respectful communication. Comments that do not meet our industry regulations or uphold the intent and integrity of our social media communities may be removed. We also reserve the right to block any user that fails to follow our Social Media Community Guidelines.


By accessing or posting any information on our social media channels you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Social Media Community Guidelines and will follow them, the applicable social media platform’s terms, and the applicable law.


As you participate in our social media communities, please keep the following things in mind:


COMMENTS SEEKING OR CONTAINING MEDICAL ADVICE

Our social media channels are for general educational information and are not an official outlet for medical advice or a replacement for advice from a healthcare professional. We do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or practice medicine, and information on our social media communities should not be considered medical advice.


If you are experiencing a medical problem, please consult a healthcare professional for diagnosis and treatment. Please do not post comments to our social media channels that provide, or seek, medical or other professional advice. A comment may be removed if it can be reasonably interpreted as seeking or giving medical advice.


We may post on social media channels information about a healthier lifestyle and information related to various health and medical conditions and their treatment. Discussions about medical and health topics on our social channels should never be interpreted as medical advice.

 

COMMENTS CONTAINING UNAPPROVED PRODUCTS OR OFF-LABEL USES

Our social media channels are created for people in various geographical locations. The laws in different countries may vary. As a result, we can’t discuss on our social media channels any products, or product indications, that have not been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration or other similar regulatory body in the country of applicable jurisdiction. We do not promote or encourage unapproved uses of our products and we will remove any comments about unapproved products, competitors’ products, or the use of our products if we determine they are not consistent with applicable law.


Additionally, our social media channels may not be used to promote your or others’ products or services.

 

COMMENTS CONTAINING VULGARITY OR OTHER OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE

We want to provide respectful and welcoming communities for all. We ask that you be courteous and respectful in your comments on our social media channels. Comments that contain profanity, hate speech, harassment, threats, violence, discrimination, defamation, libel or other offensive or abusive language or content will be removed.

 

COMMENTS THAT ARE OFF-TOPIC OR SPAM

We want it to be easy for people to find relevant and useful information on our social media channels. Comments that are off-topic, contain inappropriate content, make unsupported accusations or claims, contain misleading information, promote the buying and selling of goods or services, contain irrelevant information, or appear to be spam will be removed.


We do not endorse any products, posts, opinions or other content provided by third parties, whether on our social media channels or pages linked from our social media channels.

 

COMMENTS CONTAINING PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

Please be mindful that your name or username may be associated with your comment on our social media channels. Also, be mindful of what you comment, take appropriate steps to protect your personal information, and do not post any information that could violate the privacy rights of others.


For your protection, we will make every effort to remove any comments from our social media channels that contain personally identifiable information about you or someone you know, including a phone number, address, email, or date of birth.

 

COMMENTS ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES, PRODUCT COMPLAINTS, OR ADVERSE EVENTS

Our social media channels should not be used as your first point of contact to resolve customer service issues, product complaints, and adverse events. Our social media channels are not intended to compare treatment options, discuss safety issues, or report side effects associated with treatments. If you have issues, complaints or suggestions about individual sales and service experiences or our products, or experience an adverse event, these types of concerns are best handled by our trained representatives. To protect your privacy and personal information, and for us to promptly provide support about a customer service issue, product complaint, or adverse event about a Recor treatment, please complete our product feedback form at www.RecorMedical.com/product-feedback.


To comply with our industry regulations, any comments or conversations that discuss potential adverse events, customer service issues, safety concerns, product concerns, off-label use of products, or mention other products will be removed and we may need to contact you or your healthcare provider to find out more information. Your comment or conversation may also be forwarded to other departments and personnel at Recor to ensure appropriate follow-up.

 

COMMENTS AND CONTENT POSTED BY INDIVIDUALS

Please keep in mind that we do not create, control, represent, nor endorse any opinions or statements expressed by others within our social media channels. If we follow another user’s account, “like” another page, share, like, or otherwise re-post another user’s content, such action does not form an endorsement. All comments, posts, videos, and other types of material posted by individuals on our social media channels (“User Content”) do not necessarily reflect the opinions or ideals of Recor, our employees or affiliates.


We can only confirm the accuracy of the information we post on our social media channels. We do not verify, approve or endorse User Content or any information posted by visitors on our social media channels and do not guarantee their accuracy.

 

RIGHTS TO LICENSE AND USE

User Content will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary and you are giving us and our affiliates, a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive and fully sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such User Content in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate them in other works, in any form, media, including for promotional or marketing purposes.

THIRD-PARTY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

We do not own or manage the third-party social media platforms nor control or monitor their privacy practices. Please keep in mind that third-party social media platforms may have access to the information you share on their platforms. We recommend you review and consider each social media platform’s privacy policy before posting, sharing or uploading content or otherwise interacting with any social media platform.

Please post only content you own or have permission to use. We may remove content that appears to violate copyright, trademark, or other rights. If you believe your copyrights are being infringed, you may notify us of the infringement by sending an email to Legal@RecorMedical.com.
